Alongside discussion and approval of the first reading of a resolution establishing EMS as an essential service to the county’s approximately 16,000 residents, the Hardin County Board of Supervisors also approved a series of other business items at their meeting this week (Wed. Aug. 27). Supervisors awarded a nearly $680,000 contract to Peterson Contractors, Incorporated, for a bridge replacement on H Avenue west of Buckeye. The project is expected to begin sometime next year.
In other action, the board approved the hiring of a correctional officer and accepted the resignation of another officer. Deputies also received pay adjustments as part of union negotiations.
