Thursday, Steve Huling and Jeff Winters presented to the Hampton City Council a new proposal for upgrades to the disc golf course at East Park.
During the workshop meeting August 25th, Huling and Winters presented ideas that would improve the course, including new locations for baskets and replacing some tee boxes.
The new proposal from Huling and Winters includes an expansion of the disc golf course from nine to 18 holes. Huling stated the cost for nine new baskets is roughly $4,500, or $500 per basket.
Since this proposal was different from the one presented during the August 25th workshop, the council took no action on the item as it will be further discussed at the September 8th workshop meeting.
