Two men were arrested on Monday, Sept. 1 after the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of Akir Street in Latimer. 24-year-old Carlos Alberto Plama Mejia of Hampton was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 19-year-old Inmer Daniel Mejia Ortega was charged with Possession of Marijuana. Both men have since been seen by a magistrate and released on their own recognizance.
