The AGWSR volleyball team had trouble contending with two of the best teams in Class 2A, going 0-2 at a triangular hosted by #11 (2A) Wapsie Valley Tuesday. They fell 2-0 to the Warriors and #1 (2A) Denver.
In the first match, the Cougars fell 25-4, 25-9 to Wapsie Valley. They then fell 25-4, 25-10 to the Cyclones. The Cougars were unable to generate much offense, with six kills in the two matches. Brylea Metzgar and Elise Olson each had two kills on the night.
The Cougars (0-6) will return to action Saturday at a tournament at #2 (1A) North Tama.
