The Iowa State Patrol says one person was killed in a motorcycle crash Tuesday afternoon on Highway 218 near Janesville.
The crash happened at about 4:45 p.m. at the 195 mile marker. According to a report from the Iowa State Patrol, 44-year-old Robert E. Detmering III of Osage, was riding southbound when the motorcycle lost control and entered into the median.
Debris from the motorcycle struck another vehicle, causing only minor damage. Detmering died at the scene.
