ISU Extension and Outreach Will Share Latest Research with Farmers at Field Day on Thursday

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach and the North Central Iowa Research Association will host their Fall Field Day at the Northern Research and Demonstration Farm in Kanawha on Thursday. 

Iowa State Field Agronomist Gentry Sorenson says “the event will give farmers the opportunity to learn about current topics effecting crops this growing season and ask questions related to research at the farm.” 

Field tours will include the following speakers and topics, ISU Professors and Pathologists Alison Robertson and Daren Muller will discuss 2025 corn and soybean diseases. ISU Assistant Professor and Nitrogen Science and Soil Fertility Specialist Richard Roth will review a recent nitrogen and sulfur trial. ISU Assistant Professor and Extension Weed Science Specialist Wes Everman will discuss herbicides and control during the 2025 growing season.

The meeting is open to the public and free to attend. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. and the field day will start at 9:00 a.m. A complimentary lunch will be provided.
