The City of Parkersburg says improvements are underway at the community’s tree debris area, thanks to a generous donation. According to a post on the city’s Facebook page, funding from the Alan and Fayette Meyer Trust is making the project possible. The reconstruction will create a more organized layout for residents, with clearer signage and improved driving surfaces for vehicles using the site. It was noted that no taxpayer dollars are being spent on the project, as the donation is covering the costs.
While the work is taking place, the city is asking for patience and cooperation from residents who use the tree debris area. Once completed, officials say the improvements will make the site safer, easier to navigate, and more efficient for the community.
