The 28th annual Scenic City Labor Day Car Show brought crowds and classic cars to downtown Iowa Falls on Monday (9/1/25). The event, organized by the Scenic City Cruisers with help from the Iowa Falls Lions Club, filled Washington Avenue and surrounding streets with 267 registered entries. Cars ranged from restored classics to custom builds, with categories that included younger owners under 25 and even electric vehicles. Proceeds from the show support Iowa Falls Lions Club projects, which benefit both international programs and local needs such as eyeglasses, hearing aids, and holiday food baskets.
Visitors also had the chance to stop by the newly opened Heartland Military Museum in Iowa Falls, which features artifacts spanning from the War of 1812 through Iraq and Afghanistan. Museum organizer Celine Anderson says the collection is always growing.
“We put a lot of work into it. It’s a team of us doing it and historical society. We’re just adding, it’ll never be done, I don’t think we just keep getting more and more, which is great. And if you wonder where your things are that you donate or loan, we have so many that we’re gonna rotate them. So eventually, be patient, eventually you’ll see your items.”
Organizers say the warm weather and strong turnout made this year’s show another successful Labor Day tradition for the Iowa Falls community.
