A Mason City entrepreneur has been recognized in one of Iowa’s top business competitions.
Jared Doerfler, founder of Hanna Golf, won third place and a $15,000 prize at the 20th Annual John Pappajohn Iowa Entrepreneurial Venture Competition. Doerfler’s company designs and manufactures premium golf putters in North Iowa, shipping products to nearly every state and several countries.
Doerfler says the award will help fuel continued growth for the business, which has been self-funded and cash flow positive since it launched in 2024.
Since 2006, the Pappajohn Iowa Entrepreneurial Venture Competition has invested more than $1.4 million into businesses across the state.
