Belmond-Klemme Cross Country Invite Delivers Multiple Local PR’s and Season Best Times

The North Butler, Hampton-Dumont-CAL and West Fork cross country team competed at the Belmond-Klemme Invite on Tuesday.

In the girls race, West Fork placed fourth, Belmond-Klemme was fifth and Hampton-Dumont-CAL finished seventh. North Butler didn’t register a team score. Individually, West Fork’s Makenna Dick paced the team in third with a PR time of 21:27 followed by teammate Evie Hitzhusen in 10th with a season best 22:39. B-K’s Lila Swenson finished in fifth with a PR time of 22:05. HD-CAL’s top finisher was MacKenzy Valley who crossed 12th in 23:08. North Butler was led by Faith Eberline in 17th in 24:04. 

In the boys race, North Butler placed third, West Fork was fourth, Hampton-Dumont-CAL was 10th and Belmond-Klemme finished 11th. North Butler’s Ezra Almelien led the pack in fourth in 17:22 followed by teammate Trager Pecha in ninth with a season best 17:53. West Fork’s Kaden Graf placed 23rd in 19:00. HD-CAL’s top finisher was Arnold Guevara in 32nd with a PR time of 19:33. Belmond-Klemme was led by Nolan Muhlenbruch in 34th with a season best time of 19:40. 

Belmond-Klemme, North Butler and West Fork will return to the course at a meet hosted by the Warhawks on Monday, September 15. Hampton-Dumont-CAL will be at Clear Lake Invite on Thursday, September 18.
