Revitalize Dumont will host a poker run Saturday, September 20th.

The ride will start and finish at the Dumont School Building and will make five stops along the route. Revitalize Dumont President Roger Kregel tells RadioOnTheGo News all vehicle types can take part in the run next Saturday.

“Basically what that involves is going to four other establishments, getting a stamp, and then when you get back, you get the fifth stamp. So that gets you five cards to get a poker hand at the end of the day. And the best poker hands will then win some prizes. We’ll give prizes for the top several poker hands. We’ll also be doing a raffle that day, we’ve got a Yeti cooler full of prizes, that’ll be a raffle item. There’s a Blackstone griddle, that’ll be one of the raffle prizes. We’ll also have a separate 50/50 raffle, so people can participate that way.”

In addition to the Yeti cooler and Blackstone griddle, they will hold a live auction for a Minnesota Vikings helmet signed by former Iowa Hawkeye, T.J. Hockenson, and will auction off four tickets to the Vikings-Lions football game on December 25th.

A free-will donation meal will be served at the school from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. with a bake sale planned during that time.

Registration for the poker run is from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 20th with the ride beginning at 11:00. Cost is $20 per person ages 21 and over. For more information, you can call 641-425-9937 or visit them on Facebook.
