Clarksville Council Approves Permits; Advances Infrastructure Projects

The Clarksville City Council met in regular session on Monday (9/8/25). Building permits were approved for three properties, including roof and deck work. The council also approved a temporary road closure for the Ladies Night Out event scheduled for tonight (Thu), and confirmed Halloween activities for October 31, including trick-or-treating from 5 to 7 p.m. and a parade at the nursing home from 4 to 5.

In other business, the Clarksville City Council approved a three-year contract with Iowa Pump Works for pump inspections, discussed sanitation rate changes, and supported a contribution to the Butler County Wellbeing Program.

Other actions included sign light repairs, tree removal, and travel approval for the city clerk. They also advanced water rate changes and a USDA grant application with Butler-Bremer Communications.
