
Thursday, just after 7:00 a.m. the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department received a call from the Iowa State Patrol that they were in pursuit of a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee traveling east on Highway 3, heading toward Latimer. The driver of the vehicle was wanted on several prior violations.
Franklin County Sheriff Aaron Dodd tells RadioOnTheGo News the vehicle turned north onto Gull Avenue and drove through Latimer. The pursuit continued north along Grouse Avenue, where it ended north of 180th Street.
Law enforcement officers then arrested Todd A. Miller Jr. of Des Moines on numerous arrest warrants. Miller had warrants for parole violations with an original charge related to possession of drugs.
Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies assisted with the arrest of Miller at the scene. Miller was later transported to another facility and local charges are pending.
