A special meeting of the Hardin County Board of Supervisors, originally scheduled for this week, has been canceled, according to Ann Larson, executive assistant to the board. The meeting was intended to address a proposed settlement agreement with the Central Iowa Juvenile Detention Center (CIJDC). However, Larson says the item did not require immediate action and will instead be placed on the agenda for next week’s regular board meeting.
The special session had been planned for Wednesday (9/10/25) at the Hardin County Courthouse in Eldora. With the matter postponed, residents interested in the CIJDC settlement are encouraged to follow next week’s regular meeting for updates.
