Clarion-Goldfield-Dows School Board Accepts Superintendent Resignation

The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows School Board met Thursday, Sept. 11, for its annual and regular meetings. Superintendent Joe Nelson formally submitted his resignation, effective June 30, 2026. The board voted to hire Grundmeyer Leader Search LLC to assist with finding Nelson’s successor, and will meet with consultant Trent Grundmeyer on Sept. 17 to begin the process.

The board also received updates on roof work, stadium drainage and new recording devices on district vehicles.

The next regular school board meeting is scheduled for Oct. 9 at 5 p.m.
