Motorists in Hampton should plan ahead for road work as Heartland Asphalt begins a paving project on 12th Avenue NE, between Federal Avenue and Highway 65. Work is scheduled to run Wednesday (9/17/25) through Monday, September 22. The road will be mostly closed during construction, but there may be brief periods when local traffic is allowed through. The project will affect areas near North Side Elementary, Hampton-Dumont High School, Trinity Lutheran Church, and the Hampton Community Christian Daycare.
