Hampton-Dumont-CAL High School crowned senior Caden Woods as king and senior Jaslene Tevalan as queen during a homecoming pep rally in the new activities gym on Friday afternoon.
Woods reflects on sharing the experience with his teammates in front of a packed Bulldog crowd.
“It felt amazing. All four of those guys, I grew up with them since we were babies. Getting to do this with them was amazing. There’s no bad blood, we’re all great for each other, and it’s all respect,” says Woods. “It was very loud tonight, especially since we have more seats now in the crowd. It felt really nice knowing that everyone was here to support. It’s a great feeling.”
Tevalan’s reaction to cheering at the pep rally and the honor.
“It was very exciting. I’m so glad we all got to come together and cheer,” says Tevalan. ” I am so honored. They are all my best friends. I love them to death. I’m just so happy.”
The week will conclude with the homecoming dance on Saturday.
