The Iowa Department of Education has released its 2024-25 Iowa School Performance Profiles, and Hampton-Dumont Schools are being recognized for their progress.
Hampton-Dumont High School earned a “High Performing” designation, reflecting three years of work on student-centered learning, updated instructional materials, and expanded career-connected opportunities.
Hampton-Dumont Elementary was rated “Commendable,” with strong student growth in math and English language proficiency.
Hampton-Dumont Middle School received a score in the “ACCEPTABLE” category, and due to specific measures was moved to a designation of “Needs Improvement.” According to a Hampton-Dumont Community School District press release, the middle school team is committed to continuous improvement with a focus on supporting struggling learners and reviewing math curriculum to better meet student needs. Particular areas of celebration from the ISPP for H-D Middle School are strong student growth in English Language Arts and English Language Proficiency as well as achievement and in English Language Proficiency (ELPA21) growth.
Superintendent Tim Felderman said the ratings highlight both areas of celebration and areas for growth, while affirming the dedication of students and staff across the district.
