The Dike-New Hartford Community School District will hold two informational meetings this fall to discuss potential changes to how Kindergarten through 4th grade students are assigned between the Dike and New Hartford campuses. District leaders say the topic has been under review for several months, and while no final decisions have been made, the process has included feedback from staff and community surveys, with nearly 400 responses received.
D-NH officials say the goal is to be transparent and to keep the community informed as they evaluate enrollment trends, staffing needs, and instructional planning. Officials have confirmed that preschool programs will remain on both campuses regardless of any other changes. The first community meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, October 8 at 6 p.m. in the DNH Junior High Multipurpose Room. A second meeting will be held Monday, November 3 at 6 p.m. in the high school auditorium. The district encourages all interested families and residents to attend.
