The Iowa Valley Community College District is teaming up with Toys for Tots to help spread holiday cheer.
From October 1 through December 10, donations of new, unwrapped toys will be accepted at several campus locations, including Ellsworth Community College, Iowa Valley Grinnell, and Marshalltown Community College.
Phi Theta Kappa students are leading the effort alongside Gunsmith faculty member and Marine Corps veteran Matt Ostrander.
Toys for Tots, which began in 1947, collects and distributes toys to children in need across the country each holiday season.
