The Allison City Council met on Monday, Sept. 22 in regular session.
During the open forum, residents requested that cemetery cleanup be completed by Veterans Day, Nov. 11. Council members and Public Works staff discussed mowing schedules and reminded the public of posted rules on grave decorations.
The council awarded a two-year lease of city farmland to Landen and Abigail Wessels at $385 per acre, the highest bid submitted.
Trick-or-treating in Allison will be held Friday, Oct. 31, from 5 to 7 p.m.
In other business, the council voted to pay off the remaining $15,000 on the 2018A loan for the original long-term camping loop at Wilder Park.
