Extension Office Offering Continuing Instruction Course for Applicators

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach in Franklin County will host a Forest, Aquatic, and Right-of-Way Continuing Instruction Course for commercial pesticide applicators later this month.

The training is set for Wednesday, Oct. 22, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the Franklin County Extension office, 6 2nd Street NW in Hampton. The program is part of ISU Extension’s Pesticide Safety Education Program and provides continuing instruction credits for applicators certified in forest, aquatic, and right-of-way pest control.

Topics will include pesticide use and the environment, pesticide label comprehension, and category-specific pest management.

Preregistration is required, with a fee of $45 if completed by Oct. 15 and $60 after that date. Walk-ins are not guaranteed admission.
