The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Community School Board will meet Thursday evening for its regular monthly session beginning at 5 p.m. at the district office.

The agenda includes presentations from the district’s Crisis Team and K-12 Talented and Gifted programs, along with the superintendent’s report and several financial items.

Under old business, the board will consider approving two School Budget Review Committee (SBRC) applications — one for the fiscal year 2025 special education deficit totaling $444,444.33, and another for $114,383.43 covering excess English Language Learner costs.

New business includes discussion and possible approval of the fiscal year 2026 early retirement plan.

The consent agenda features a first reading of multiple board policies related to bullying, child abuse reporting, employee qualifications, attendance, graduation requirements, and health education. The board will also act on a volunteer football coach approval, fundraiser requests for next year, and an FFA overnight trip.

In other business, members will review financial summaries, building and transportation reports, and upcoming dates — including school board elections on November 4, the IASB Convention November 19–21, and the district’s Veterans Day program on November 11.

The next regular school board meeting is scheduled for November 13 at 4:30 p.m.
