Harvest continues to move along in the Alden area. Innovative Ag Services reports soybean harvest is now more than 80% complete. Moisture levels are coming in around 10%, with yields ranging from 55 to 75 bushels per acre.

Meanwhile, corn harvest is just getting started, with about 15% of fields harvested so far. Corn moisture is averaging around 16%, and yields are coming in between 180 and 240 bushels per acre.

Harvest progress is expected to pick up as weather allows. The forecast looks cooperative this week, with mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 60s to low 70s from Tuesday through Saturday.

A few scattered showers are possible late Monday, but the middle of the week should bring extended dry stretches for farmers to make strong progress. Overall, the week ahead should provide several good harvest days before rain chances return late in the weekend.
