The Hampton City Council will meet in regular session Thursday and will hold the second reading of an ordinance which proposes new no-parking zones along 3rd Avenue SE on the north and south side from 3rd Street SE to 4th Street SE, and along 3rd Street SW on the east side from Central Ave West to 1st Avenue SW.
Under new business, Hampton Tree Board member Dick Lukensmeyer will give the council an update on the board’s activities. In May, the Hampton City Council asked the tree board to stay in contact with the city about future tree-planting efforts.
The meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. Thursday at city hall and will be available via Zoom and the city’s YouTube page.
