Hampton’s Repaint Studios Hooks a Shark Tank Deal

Great news for local innovator Billie Asmus. The Hampton resident and founder of Repaint Studios secured a big deal in her appearance on ABC’s “Shark Tank” this past week (10/8/25).

Asmus pitched her Repaint Tray, a reusable, three-piece paint system designed to combat waste. She noted that 240 million plastic paint tray liners end up in landfills each year. The Repaint Tray solves that problem with an airtight lid to keep paint fresh and a silicone liner for easy, peel-off cleanup. Repaint Studios has already seen national growth, with the tray available at Lowe’s stores. Asmus was looking for investment to handle this rapid expansion.

Ultimately, Asmus was able to strike a deal with Shark Barbara Corcoran, and guest-Sharks Joanna and Chip Gaines, of TLC’s “Fixer Upper” program. The Sharks partnered to offer Asmus 250-thousand dollars for fifteen-percent equity, which she joyfully accepted.

RadioOnTheGo News congratulates Billie on her successful Shark Tank appearance and we wish her the best as Repaint Studios continues to grow.
