The NIACC Board of Directors Thursday will hold the first reading of a board policy revision on board organization and board reports. The board will consider approving a major purchase request for the current fiscal year.
The NIACC Board will also consider two resolutions Thursday related to the Iowa Industrial New Jobs Training (260E) Program. One approves a preliminary operating statement and allows electronic bidding for bonds. The second authorizes publication of a notice to issue up to $1.2 million in training certificates. These steps support job training for new positions at local businesses, with repayment funded through state income tax withholdings from those jobs.
The NIACC Board of Directors meet Thursday at 5:00 p.m. on the campus in Mason City.
