The #2 (2A) Dike-New Hartford volleyball team was crisp in going 3-0 at a quad that they hosted Tuesday.

They defeated Nevada 2-0 in the opener. After winning set 1 15-12, they were given a better challenge, though they won set 2 25-19.

Against #14 (4A) Waverly-Shell Rock, the Wolverines didn’t slow down. In fact, the set scores were identical to the Nevada match in a 25-12, 25-19 win.

The toughest match of the night was the final one. After dominating #6 (2A) Union in last week’s NICL Tournament semifinal, the Knights offered a tighter battle. DNH took control with a 25-18 win in set 1, followed by Union winning 25-21 in set 2. In an intense third set, the Wolverines won 15-11 to finish the night with three wins.

DNH will return to action Thursday to finish the regular season at a quad hosted by Sumner-Fredericksburg.
