Area Harvest Nears Completion for Beans, Corn Yields Off to Solid Start

Harvest is continuing to push ahead in our listening area, with Landus Cooperative in Bradford reporting that bean harvest is about 90 percent complete in their service area. Yields are averaging around 70 bushels per acre, though individual fields have ranged from as low as 45 up to 85 bushels per acre.

Corn harvest is only just getting into full swing and is roughly 30 percent complete. Moisture levels are favorable at about 15 percent. Early corn yields are averaging 210 bushels per acre, with top-performing fields reaching 280 bushels per acre.
