The Grundy Center City Council will meet Monday to take final action on two ordinances related to community events and mobile food vendors. Ordinance 586, establishing rules and licensing requirements for mobile food service vendors, and Ordinance 587, which outlines regulations for special events, are both up for third and final readings.

Council members will also consider three resolutions awarding BIG (Business Innovation Grant) funds. The proposed recipients include the Tasty House for signage and awning improvements, South Porch Cider Co. for electrical updates, and Dave’s Heating & Cooling for a garage addition.

Additional agenda items include a discussion and potential action on a nuisance property at 1208 J Avenue and the possible purchase of said real estate. The council will also hear from Chamber-Main Street Director Katie Rasmussen on a proposed ordinance for vacant commercial properties.

The meeting begins Monday at 6:30 p.m. at city hall.
