Hampton-Dumont High School will host its third biennial College, Career and Recruitment Fair on Wednesday, Oct. 29, from 8:10 to 11:30 a.m.
All high school students will have the opportunity to explore future pathways by meeting with 25 colleges and training programs, including military options, along with 23 local businesses from the greater Franklin County area.
The event is sponsored by the Franklin County Development Authority, CCTC’s Val Gonzalez, TRIO, the Franklin County Extension Office and Hampton-Dumont High School.
School counselors Cynthia Krull and Terry Carr are helping students prepare for the fair by focusing on employability skills, personality traits and career clusters. Melinda McGregor and Vickie Pralle from NIACC’s Workforce Solutions are also meeting with each grade level to discuss how students can get the most out of the experience.
Students from West Fork High School (grades 9–12) and Belmond-Klemme High School (grades 11–12) will also attend, bringing the total number of participants to about 700 students.
Presenters will be treated to breakfast from the Bulldog Café and lunch prepared by ProStart.
