Franklin County farmers and commercial pesticide applicators can mark their calendars—an Ag Pest Control continuing education course is coming to Hampton on Wednesday, November 19. Hosted by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, the course runs from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the Franklin County Extension Office in Hampton.
The training is designed for commercial pesticide applicators and will cover topics such as pesticide safety, environmental impacts, label comprehension, and pest management strategies. Pre-registration is required by November 12 for a discounted rate of $45. After that, the fee increases to $60, and walk-ins are not guaranteed admission. Certified Crop Advisers can also earn Continuing Education Units by attending.
For more details or to register, contact Traci Kloetzer at the Franklin County Extension office. That phone number is (641) 456-4811. You can also find info online at extension.iastate.edu/PSEP.
