Franklin REC has announced that its fifth annual Light Up the Night celebration will take place Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025, in downtown Hampton.
The family-friendly event has become a local holiday tradition, featuring visits with Santa, children’s crafts and games, and the popular lighted holiday parade. Organizers say it’s a night meant to bring the community together and officially kick off the Christmas season.
“Light Up the Night is about celebrating our community and creating joyful memories for families,” says Emily Rush, event co-planner with Franklin REC. “From activities and lunch to seeing Santa and enjoying the parade, it’s wonderful to see downtown Hampton come alive with holiday spirit.”
Businesses, organizations, and individuals interested in joining the lighted parade can register by calling the Franklin REC office at 641-456-2557.
