Larry Sailer, the longtime Chairman of the Franklin County Republican Central Committee, announced Wednesday that he will run for the District 1 seat on the Franklin County Board of Supervisors during the 2026 Midterm Elections.
The seat is currently held by Gary McVicker. District 1 covers portions of southeast Hampton, along with the cities of Geneva, Hansell, Latimer and northwest Ackley.
In a Facebook post, Sailer says he has “spent many years volunteering in organizations, on local, state and national levels, and I feel this has helped qualify me for this position. Let’s have a conversation.”
In addition to the District 1 seat, the District 2 seat held by Dick Lukensmeyer, will be up for election during the 2026 Midterms.
