B-K Head Coach Josh Faaborg.

Obviously a brand new opponent, a very formidable opponent, ranked number one in the state. We like the matchup and understand that they’re a very, very talented and senior driven football team. At the end of the day, we trust our abilities. Our kids are really excited to go on the road for a long trip and see what we’re made of,” says Faaborg. “Both sides of the ball but most specifically defense, we really need to just focus on taking care of ourselves, doing our job, doing it extremely well. We need to be using our speed to our advantage, playing fast. It’s gonna be a game where we have to come out and really execute, especially on the defensive side of the ball to control time of possession.”

MMCRU (8-0) concluded the regular season with a 54-6 win at Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn last week. The Royals have put together a high flying and balanced offense that has produced over 1,000 yards passing and rushing. Eli Harpenau rules the offense with 1,218 passing yards and 23 touchdowns (15 passing and eight rushing). The Royals defense has not allowed an opponent to score more than 13 points in a game this season.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in Marcus.
