Drivers across the area are paying a bit more at the pump this week. The Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship reports the statewide average for regular unleaded gasoline rose seven cents to $2.81 per gallon, according to the latest data from AAA.
Locally, GasBuddy and Way.com list prices in Parkersburg and Allison at about $3.09 per gallon as of Wednesday afternoon, while Iowa Falls stations are averaging closer to $3.05. These online listings are updated frequently but may vary by station and time of day.
The Department also reports diesel prices dipped three cents statewide to $3.41 per gallon, while crude oil prices rose slightly — West Texas Intermediate is now $58.69 per barrel, and Brent crude sits at $62.73. Fuel analysts say small price swings could continue as global oil markets adjust. Drivers can find fuel-saving tips at Energy.gov and Fueleconomy.gov.
