The Hampton-Dumont Community School District’s School Improvement Advisory Committee (SIAC) met recently. The committee, which can be made up of students, parents, teachers, administrators, and community members, provides recommendations to the school board on educational needs, student learning goals, and programs that support a positive school environment.

During their most recent meeting, members of H-D’s SIAC reviewed the district’s long-range and annual improvement goals, discussed spring 2025 student data, and voted to recommend the proposed academic goals for this school year to the school board. The group also reviewed and suggested updates to the district’s community survey, last conducted in 2015. Elementary counselor Cate Meader shared updates with the committee on bullying prevention programs. Committee recommendations will be presented to the school board in November.
