Republican U.S. Senate candidate Jim Carlin will attend the Grundy County Central Committee meeting on Thursday, Oct. 30, at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Landmark Restaurant in Grundy Center.
Carlin, who previously served as an Iowa state senator for the 3rd District, announced his U.S. Senate campaign in April. He was also a challenger to incumbent Sen. Chuck Grassley in the 2022 election.
According to Carlin’s press secretary, Barb Clayton, he is expected to discuss his support for President Donald Trump’s efforts to defend America’s shores against Columbian cartels and Venezuelan gangs.
