The Iowa High School Cross Country Championships will take place Friday and Saturday at Kennedy Park near Fort Dodge.
Class 2A will be Friday with the girls race at 10:30 a.m., followed by the boys race at 11:15. In the girls race, #11 (2A) Dike-New Hartford and #13 (2A) Grundy Center will compete as teams. In the boys race, Grundy Center senior Emerson Vokes will look to defend his title. He’ll be joined by teammates Jayce Fryslie and Leo Block. Dike-New Hartford’s Sully O’Neill will also compete individually, rounding out Friday’s local participants.
Class 1A will take place on Saturday, with the girls race at 2:00 p.m. followed by the boys race at 2:45. In the girls race, West Fork’s Makenna Dick will compete individually. In the boys race, #16 (2A) North Butler will compete as a team.
