Sukup Manufacturing Company of Sheffield has welcomed Tom Mangan as its new President and CEO. Mangan, an Iowa native who has served as Sukup’s Chief Financial Officer since 2020, becomes the first non-family member to lead the company since it was founded in 1963. He succeeds Steve Sukup, who transitions to Co-Chairman of the Board alongside Charles Sukup until assuming full chairman duties in 2026.

Company leaders say Mangan’s leadership and experience have strengthened Sukup’s operations, and they’re confident he’ll guide the company successfully into the future. Mangan says he’s honored by the trust placed in him and excited to continue working with the Sukup team and family members involved in the business.

Earlier this year, Mangan told RadioOnTheGo News that tariffs and global trade remain key issues for the company’s future.

“Priorities change sometimes on a day-to-day basis depending on what’s going on in the world. We’ve got a lot of conversation about tariffs. That does have some impact on us because we’ve got some great customers and dealers in Canada. Also, we’ve got a European subsidiary that we get product out to and then Mexico and Central America is also a big market for us. So lot of tariff concerns and outgoing product and then most of what we use in our product is made here in the U.S., all U.S. steel. There are a couple of downstream impacts on the supply chain.”
