A group of Franklin County organizations are teaming up to support local families this holiday season. Franklin REC, Center One, the Franklin County Extension Office, Hampton Community Christian Daycare, and First Security Bank & Trust locations in Hampton, Dumont, Rockwell, and Thornton have launched the “Full Shelves, Full Hearts” food drive.
The collection runs Nov. 3 through Dec. 22, with non-perishable food items going to food pantries across North Central Iowa. Donations will be delivered in two rounds to ensure support throughout the holiday season.
Community members can drop off items such as canned goods, boxed meals, pasta, peanut butter, and other pantry staples at any participating location.
Organizers say every donation makes a difference in helping local families gather around the table this season.
