Thursday night, the Parkersburg Police Department with assistance from the Butler County Sheriff’s Department, was called out on the report of a domestic assault at a residence along 4th Street in Parkersburg.
Butler County Sheriff Jason Johnson tells RadioOnTheGo News one juvenile was charged and taken into custody and then turned over to juvenile authorities. Johnson says current charges include assault with intent to injure a law officer and interference with official acts. The charges stem from events that happened after Parkersburg Police responded to the matter.
Johnson says more charges are pending from the assault on members of the residence. The incident left the Parkersburg Police Officer with minor injuries.
