The Belmond City Council will meet Monday night with a full agenda that includes a public hearing on vehicle regulations and updates on two major 2026 construction projects.
Council members will open a public hearing on Ordinance 478, which would amend city rules governing ATV/UTV and golf cart use within Belmond. Following the hearing, the council is expected to consider approving the first reading and may move to waive the second and third readings to adopt the ordinance in final form that evening.
Also scheduled is continued action on Ordinance 477, updating sewer service charge requirements. The council will hold the second reading of the measure and could waive the third reading for final passage.
Under new business, a representative from Veenstra & Kimm is set to present preliminary plans and project schedules for the 2026 3rd Street NE Reconstruction Project and the 2026 Aquatic Center Project.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. Monday at Belmond City Hall.
