Butler County Election Recap: New Mayors Elected in Greene, Dumont and Allison

There will be a new mayor in Greene. 

Galen Lindell received 139 votes in the Greene Mayoral Race, Kristopher Dralle received 138 and incumbent Mayor Warren Van Dyke received 90 votes. 

In Clarksville, Mayor Jerald Heuer will serve another term as he defeated challenger Michael Grantham by a vote count of 214-131. On the Clarksville City Council, four people ran for three seats; Wesley Voss (275 votes), Jeremy Hoerman (256 votes) and Nick Treib (126 votes) were elected. The other challenger was Amy Learn (73 votes). 

In Dumont, Carson Freese will serve as Mayor after incumbent Edwin Mouw did not seek reelection. Freese defeated Mary Tyrrell by a vote count of 76-35. On the Dumont City Council, five people ran for two seats with Lukas Smith (61 votes) and Michael Day (47 votes) elected to those seats. David Shear (44 votes), Valerie Menken (33 votes) and Marty Evans (33 votes) were the other challengers in Dumont. 

In Allison, Tim Junker was elected as Mayor after running uncontested. Current Mayor Scot Henrichs did not seek reelection. On the Allison City Council, four people ran for two seats with Janis Cramer (166 votes) and Jodi Bangasser (163 votes) elected to those seats. The other challengers were Mitchell Grummit (138 votes) and Shane Carlson (136 votes).
