City of Hampton Election Recap

Voters took to the polls on Tuesday to decide the city elections in Hampton. 

Incumbent Mayor Steve Birdsall, who was unopposed, will retain his position after receiving 318 votes. 

In Ward 1, Kristin Roode was unopposed and will retain her council seat with 59 votes. Ward 2’s Barry J. Lamos, also unopposed, will stay on the council after receiving 69 votes. In Ward 3, Bill Holmstrom defeated a write-in challenge from Patrick Palmer, earning 70 votes to retain his seat. In Ward 4, Jerre J. Grefe was unopposed and will keep her seat with 49 votes.

In the City Council At-Large race, Jeanne Fay won the seat with 234 votes, defeating write-in challenger Lisa Hill.
