
The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Community School District Board will meet in regular session on Thursday.
The agenda includes education reports from High School Principal Adam Vorrie and Fall Sports Director Brad Kahler, as well as a superintendent’s report. Under old business, the board will review feedback on the FY26 administration plan and discuss preliminary election results.
New business items include approval of the FY27 superintendent contract, a principal search plan, the district’s special education delivery plan, and any early retirement applications for FY26.
The consent agenda features the second reading of several district policies covering topics such as anti-bullying, child abuse reporting, attendance, graduation requirements, and student health.
Additional items include approval of a Prairie Lakes AEA board candidate vote, revisions to the middle and high school handbooks, fundraiser requests, and an overnight wrestling trip.
Financial reports will include a FY26 budget summary and an update on the FY25 Iowa School GO Bond election results. Board members are also expected to discuss upcoming meetings, including the Iowa Association of School Boards Convention scheduled for November 19–21 in Des Moines and the district’s next regular meeting on December 11.
The meeting will begin at 4:30 p.m. at the district office located in Clarion.
