Franklin County Board Agenda Includes Election Canvass and Department Updates

The Franklin County Board of Supervisors will meet in regular session on Wednesday morning.

Secondary Roads Engineer Jay Waddingham will address the board regarding an amendment to Twin Rivers Exploration’s road use agreement and will seek approval for multiple road closures, including 240th Street between Highway 65 and Olive Avenue for culvert work and 255th Street between Vine and Wren Avenues for road construction. The board will also examine bids for new motor graders and dump trucks.

The board will conduct the official canvass of the November 4th city-school election and certify the results by resolution.

Sheriff Aaron Dodd is also on agenda to seek approval for the hiring and wage setting of a new Emergency Management Agency Director.

In new business, supervisors will consider approval of county claims and a pay application from All Iowa Roofing for work on the courthouse roof replacement project.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Franklin County Courthouse. The meeting can also be streamed on the Supervisors YouTube page.
