Sukup Manufacturing Company’s commitment to innovation has earned statewide recognition. The company’s Pistachio Mixed Flow Dryer was named Manufacturing Innovation of the Year at the 20th Annual Prometheus Awards, hosted by the Technology Association of Iowa.
The Prometheus Awards celebrate excellence in Iowa technology and innovation, bringing together leaders and innovators from across the state. Sukup Chief Marketing Officer Matt Koch, who helped lead the development of the award-winning dryer, says the honor validates the company’s efforts to serve farmers. The Pistachio Mixed Flow Dryer was created to meet a specific need in pistachio farming, using Sukup’s proven mixed-flow design to gently and efficiently dry delicate crops while maintaining quality. The system’s even-flow drying and vacuum-cooling technology helps reduce fuel use and prevent over-drying.
Company officials say the award reflects Sukup’s continued dedication to solving real challenges for farmers and developing products that protect the hard work behind every harvest.
