The Franklin County Board of Supervisors met Wednesday, Nov. 12, at the courthouse in Hampton.

During public comment, a resident raised safety concerns about the intersection at 190th Street and Grouse Avenue, requesting blinking red lights or more reflective signage to draw attention to the stop signs after several near misses. The resident also asked for a streetlight at the intersection of Balsam Avenue and Highway 3. Supervisors said they would review both issues with the county engineer.

The board certified the results of the Nov. 4 city–school election, adopting Resolution 2025-71 following the official canvass.

Supervisors also approved the hiring of Eric Arenholz as the new Franklin County Emergency Management Director, with an annual salary of nearly $72,000.

In other business, the board approved a road use agreement with Twin Rivers Exploration, several road closures for culvert work, and equipment purchases from Don’s Truck Sales and Ziegler for the Secondary Roads Department.

The next board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 8:30 a.m. at the courthouse.
