The Meservey City Council met on Monday (Nov. 10)  and received an update on the city’s ongoing water project during a State of Fair Housing Assessment public hearing. Chris Diggins with NIACOG reported the project is 48% complete, with water mains, hydrants and the new well already installed. Remaining work includes completing the well house, installing meters and site restoration.

In other business, the council approved lien searches on two derelict properties to determine whether to pursue abandoned-property action. Members also accepted a bid from Hansell Ag for a new lawn mower.

The next meeting is Dec. 8 at 6 p.m.
